Researcher's name: Dr. Abdul Rahman Ali Bediwi Mohamed.Title: The effect of an enrichment program on the development of cognitive and emotional skills of talented and gifted students (males/females) within the age span (9-12) years old.The problem of the study: The study pivots on the following two questions:1- Is there an effect of an enrichment program on the development of cognitive and emotional skills of talented students (males/females)?2- Are there any differences in the response of the two sexes to the activities and levels of the enrichment program?Study aims: Finding out the effect of the enrichment program activities on the development of the cognitive and emotional skills of talented students (males/females). Also, providing educators and teachers with information about this effect.Hypotheses of the study: The study proved the following Hypotheses: 1- there are no statistical differences at the level of (0.01) between the mean of marks of the pre application of the two groups (the controlling group and the experimental group) of the talented students of both sexes in the cognitive and emotional skills according to the scale of rating the cognitive and emotional skills. 2- There are statistical differences at the level of (0.01)between the mean of marks of the controlling group and the experimental group in the post application of the cognitive skills of the talented students of both sexes in favour of the experimental group according to the scale of rating the cognitive and emotional skills.3-There are statistical differences at the level of (0.01) between the mean of marks of controlling group and the experimental group in the post application of the cognitive skills of the gifted students of both sexes in favour of the experimental group according to the scale of rating the cognitive and emotional skills.4-There are no statistical differences at the level of (0.01) between the mean of marks of the two sexes in the post application of the experimental group in the cognitive and emotional skills according to the scale of rating cognitive and emotional skills.The study procedures:A-Sample: 40 students (males/females) aged (9-12) 3rd ,4th, 5th. 6th grades in King Abdul Aziz Model Schools.B-tools: 2 sorts of tools were used as follows: 1-Tests and diagnostic tools:-Stanford Binea Test (version 4) prepared by AL Misri Hanora.-A measure for rating cognitive and emotional skills prepared by the researcher. 2- Enrichment tools: The enrichment program applied in the study. Statistical methods: The study used the following methods:(means-standardized deviasion – correlations- distinction analysis –tests).Results of the study:The study proved the authenticity of its four hypotheses and proved the effect of the enrichment program on the talented students of both sexes in the experimental group .It helped improve the students' cognitive and emotional skills.
